So is the 8 gigs enough VRAM for 1080p?

I have the same case for my rig, love it.

The only time I feel like my 3070 laptop is lacking is in VR or streaming to my tablet, It looks like a 4080 laptop would solve that problem. You would think a 3070 would be great for vr but its really not, it takes all sorts of tweaking to get playable framerates in many games, some games I wont even play because they don't run smooth enough, even half life alyx, I get dropped frames during combat one flying robot will cause reprojection, and I have one of the better 3070 laptops that uses the entire 130 watts

How do you overclock and what does it actually do for both gpu and cpu

Never heard of a GTX 1050 3gb video chip only 2gb. I have GTX 1050 Ti and I can do quite a lot with it because it has 4gb of Vram. My laptop is Acer Nitro 5 with the Intel I7-7700HQ 16gb of ram.

I've had mine for a week now and love it. Surprisingly quiet during gaming in quiet mode. I've had a steam deck and this is better in almost every way. The price is high (imo) but I managed to get a refurbed one for about 50% or retail.

Did you overclock the GPU? I have the exact same laptop with the exact same specs and my GTX 1050 3GB is running at around 1700MHz.

were you using the 16 or 32 gb version?

why gtx 1050 power consumption is 0.0W all the time?

Hi thanks for the video. I still have 3080 gpu. But my display is crashing black screen when watts 280-320. I limited the frame rate to 120 and gpu watt working with arround 160-190 everything is fine. I test the gpu and psu on occt, everything is fine. But when i hop up in the game with unlimited frame limits, boom display black screen crash. Any idea for that?

With this being an oled with no VRR will there be brightness consistency issues when frame rate shifts rapidly?

I know this video is 2 years old at this point but I just wanted to say thank you for this super simple video explaining how those mounting screws are different than what's included with the cooler. Wasn't sure how just 4 screws would retro fit my H100i to the 1700 socket but this cleared it all up for me. Appreciate you making small videos like this and you're still helping people two years later!

I have a sapphire nitro+ 7900xtx in mine i was so worried that it wasn't gonna fit when i first tried to install it. Cause it's the best card you can get, the card of my dreams. After unscrewing the front fan and lifting it about half an inch I could just barely get the card in and the fan back into place. Between that and the base of the heatsink on the motherboard there's literally not a millimeter to left to spare. It's perfect. Thanks for the vid!!

An update I took my brand new supaboy black gold from the packaging and tested the FXPAK PRO what runs the cartridge flawlessly there isn't a single line or any interference so it is either the supaboy S in general or my supaboy S what I use for testing and playing games but it's certainly not the FXPAK PRO it's the supaboy S I'm using what is causing the problem whether a fault or just isn't advanced enough to handle the power of the FXPAK PRO without further testing of alternate supaboy S consoles it's impossible for me to speculate and maybe time I think of buying a new supaboy for hands on gaming a choice between the FXPAK PRO and the Chinese clone SD2pro is entirely up to you sorry for the confusion

Hi Sean I just wanted to let everybody know I have the Chinese clone SD2 pro and a krikkz FXPAK PRO but there's something you need to know the FXPAK PRO won't play on a supaboy once the console has warmed through use the screen will become like what I can only describe as flickering interference lines where as the Chinese clone will play for hours with no problems so if your looking for a cartridge to use with the original hardware I would say the FXPAK PRO is ideal but if you want to use a clone system then SD2pro is a good choice

3:18 IPS looks better in my eyes. This happened to me in other steam deck oled vs LCD model. OLED one looks yellowish just like this one at 3:18.

I would recommended no one to get the new 50 series cards in september because the only small improvement is ray tracing and ray tracing is still another generation away

Nice review. For me the biggest drawback of this laptop is the lack of USB 4.0 or Thunderbolt 4 support. Some laptops activated the USB 4.0 via BIOS update but I doubt Lenovo will support this feature via BIOS update.

bro i only my setup was cheap. optiplex $40, 1660 super $60, 1tb ssd $60. cpu is bottlenecking (of course i5 3570) the 1660 super but still gaming 1080p low to medium settig comfortably.
